Men’s Fellowship ...

Our church promotes spiritual growth and friendship among the men of Christ
Community Church. Our activities include:

· Participating in the Adopt-A-Highway Program

· The annual Davidson/Forsyth Scholarship Golf Tournament

· Providing breakfast following the Easter Sunrise Service

· Hosting the Blessing of the Bikes

· Assisting with the Vienna Civic Club dinners and annual yard sale

Women’s Fellowship ...

Our Women's Fellowship includes all women who attend CCC; church membership is not a requirement.  We hold bi-monthly luncheon meetings following Sunday worship.  Projects include:

· Organizing our annual yard sale

· Hosting dinners for the Vienna Civic Club

· Coordinating an annual Chicken Pie sale

· Sponsoring “Operation Christmas Shoe Boxes”

· Compiling and sending “care” packages to our servicemen overseas

· Providing meals to church families at times of need

· Providing meals to our senior members twice a month

Senior Christmas Party ...

Up to ninety-five guests attend this fun outreach each year and the party has
become a tradition at CCC. Hosted by the senior adults on the first Friday
afternoon in December, this is an opportunity for the local seniors to come
together in an informal gathering for worship, socializing and celebration
to begin the Christmas season.

The festivities begin in the sanctuary with seasonal hymns and a time to share
favorite traditions of Christmases past. The group then moves into the Fellowship
Hall for a mid-afternoon meal, entertainment and door prizes.  Past entertainment
has included performances by Patsy Cline and Elvis (both impersonators, of course),
a puppeteer and harpist.  Even Santa comes for the party,
and it is now an
eagerly awaited event.

Hospice Meal ...

We prepare and provide a meal for any and all at Hospice once a month.  The Women’s Fellowship began this ministry some time ago, and we remain committed and faithful to this effort.

There is a sign-up sheet for volunteers to provide food or help deliver.  We believe this is a wonderful opportunity t touch people’s lives in a caring manner.

Missions ...

Each year, Christ Community Church of Christ participates in two special offerings - Christmas in July, and Gifts for the Christ Child.  The proceeds from these offerings fund the various missions that are supported by our church, which currently includes:

   •  OCWM (our church’s wider missions)

   •  Retired Pastors Fund

   •  Habitat for Humanity

   •  Crisis Control

   •  Winston-Salem Rescue Mission

   •  Nazareth Children’s Home

   •  Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center

   •  Second Harvest Food Bank

   •  Samaritan Ministries

Parents of Prisoners ...                                          Meets 1st and 3rd Mondays at 7:00 PM

The goal is to be a positive, Christ-centered resource for parents of prisoners as they go forward with their lives.

The purpose is to provide a safe, non-judgmental format for hurting parents to come and deal with the raw reality regarding their children.  Meeting twice a month for an hour, the format will be similar to a 12-step meeting.

Who can attend.  Any parent, grandparent, or adult sibling of a prisoner is welcome.  There is no provision for child care at this time.

Steve Monroe will serve as the initial facilitator.  Steve is the pastor of Christ Community Church, and is the father of a prisoner.

Cost and obligation.  No dues of fees are required, nor is their any obligation to continue with the support group.  Persons interested can came and go as they wish.  Any costs related to Parents of Prisoners at Christ Community Church is funded by the congregation.
